The Lammas issue is currently in design and layout and will be out around the 1st August 2009. We are currently making some changes to the look of Pentacle, we're seperating the classified and events into a seperate section. We're also going to be using "Eco Fonts" - Fonts that use 20% less ink. This is a first for any Pagan Magazine, and allowing us to take the lead in Environmental issues.

Believers in the Norse gods get their own graveyard Posted by Webwitch - 634 Reads
General Pagan NewsThe religious fellowship that worship the old Norse gods, the Aasatrufellowship Bifrost, will soon have their own burialplace in Oslo. This has been approved by the authorities, according to Aftenposten.
The new grave site will be shaped like the outline of a ship, and may only be used for cinerary urns, the newspaper writes.

According to their home page, the asatrufellowship Bifrost is a religious fellowship for modern asatru founded on norse custom, the pre-christian religious traditions. Since 1996 the Bifrost fellowship has been an officially recognised religion by Norwegian authorities.

It goes on to say that "Our goal is to gather those who want to worship the old norse gods and keep the old traditions alive. We want to create a living forum for everybody interested in asatru and to increase the understanding of art, culture and traditions with roots in the pre-christian time. We want to take care of the heathen cultural heritage and keep it alive and updated through practice based in the study of sources and innovation in the heathen understanding of history, myths and the forces."

Craft of the Wise: Book available for pre-order now Posted by vikkibramshaw - 552 Reads
General Pagan News'There are very few good primers on witchcraft out there. We are pleased to say this one of the best ones we have read. It contains everything someone new to the Craft needs to start them on their path. It is well written and easy to understand.' - Janet Farrar and Gavin Bone, authors of 'A Witches Bible', and 'Progressive Witchcraft'.

'This book is both powerful and quite facinating; each coven and tradition has its own methods of working the sacred magic's, and 'Craft of the Wise' rather proves this. I am sure Craft of the Wise will prove valuable reading for those interested in the historical beginnings and this particular practice of witchcraft, which is both clear and direct.' - Maxine Sanders, author of 'Fire Child', and 'Maxine: Witch Queen'.
